We knew we wanted to go to Seaworld months before going on holiday - and today was the day! Being savvy travellers we booked on line to save cash - $15 each and got an e ticket! Public transport is good here and easy to figure out so two buses later we were there!
Luckily it's a hot day as first ride in and we are already wet yet not as wet as we are going to get!
Seaworld has so many shows but none as big as Shamu. We took our seats in the splash zone thinking we would get a little wet - oh no absolutely drenched - to the extent that the camera died! Shamu and pals were great showing off, they are massive!
We learnt from our mistakes and on the dolphin show sat a little further back! The show was amazing - loads of dolphins - people dressed as birds diving and doing acrobatics and macaws flying around - definitely spectacular - much more of a show than Shamu but dolphins can do a little more than a giant killer whale!
So after a long day and buying a Shamu in the gift shop we headed back - to dry out the camera!!
That evening we headed up to the roof bar of the hotel - again trendy! Beds to lounge on and a massive fire pit. Definitely a bar for the local #richkids! Actually at the very same time as we were here so was Brody from the Hills! We didnt' see him though!
San Diego is a great place but we have so much planned, next stop - the zoo!! Maybe we'll see Marcel from Friends!!
